The gray, three-lozenge shape is the standard drafting symbol for a spring and also the "e" in HyTech. The dark blue italic letterforms show a dynamic forward motion. Keeping the tail of the "y" within the overall X height provides a sense of precision, staying within boundaries, resolving to a strong, compressed form that reads at every magnification.
